Individual Attention, Tailored to You
These lessons are open for all levels, like beginners wanting to start their journey for performances set in school or you’ve already learned a lot in a collaborative environment, but private lessons allow us to focus exclusively on your individual goals. These sessions give you a chance to work on specific songs, monologues, or skills at your own pace, with direct, personalised feedback.
Refine Your Technique
Maybe you’ve got a solo coming up or you're working on a complex song. In a private lesson, we’ll fine-tune your vocal technique, help you overcome any challenges, and ensure your performance is stage-ready. You’ll walk away with new tools to bring confidence and precision to your group lessons, auditions, and performances.
Perfect Your Audition Pieces
Need extra help preparing for an audition? Private lessons are a great way to work through your audition pieces with professional guidance. From song selection to interpreting the material to performance tips, I’ll help you feel prepared and confident.
Build Confidence in a Safe, Supportive Space
While group classes are a wonderful way to build community, private lessons provide a low-pressure environment where you can explore new material and experiment with your performance without fear of judgment. You’ll feel empowered to stretch your limits and embrace your full potential as a performer.
What You’ll Work On In Casual Lessons
1. Vocal Technique
Building on what you’ve learned in group lessons, we’ll dive into targeted vocal work—whether that means expanding your range, improving breath support, or working on vocal dynamics. Private lessons give us time to dig deep into your vocal strengths and identify areas to improve.
2. Character Development & Acting
Great musical theatre performers connect emotionally with their material. In private lessons, we’ll focus on creating compelling characters and exploring how to bring songs to life through acting. You’ll learn how to dig into your role, express deeper emotions, and create a memorable performance.
3. Song Interpretation & Expression
In group lessons, you’ve already learned the basics of song work, but private lessons allow us to go beyond the surface. Together, we’ll break down the meaning of the song, its emotional core, and how to express those emotions authentically through your voice and actions.
4. Performance Techniques & Stage Presence
Want to make a bigger impact on stage? We’ll focus on building your confidence and presence when performing. Whether it’s controlling your nerves, enhancing your body language, or connecting with your audience, I’ll provide the tools to make you a more dynamic and confident performer.
5. Rehearsal Time for Upcoming Performances
Got an upcoming performance or a solo piece you want to perfect? Let’s dedicate time to rehearse that material and work out any challenges before you take the stage. Whether it’s a school production, a community theatre performance, or an audition, private lessons give you the focused rehearsal time you need to feel prepared.
